A Texas License to Carry allows you to carry a handgun—open or concealed—in most public places. You cannot carry in locations that are specifically prohibited by law, such as schools, polling places, courtrooms, secured airport areas, or private properties that post valid 30.06/30.07 or 30.05 signs. Businesses that earn 51% of their revenue from on‑premises alcohol sales are also off‑limits.
